3/22/2009: There was a great turnout for the lecture “Connections in the Mind and Body: A Yoga and Osteopathic Point of View” given by Dr Lancaster. After the lecture there was an open discussion about mind-body medicine. Many thanks go to Sheri Cherokee of Alpha-Omega Yogafor organizing the event and Jeffry Farrell who allowed us to use space at his Park Cities Yoga studio. Because of the successful turnout and the awesome post-lecture dialogue there are plans for making this a regular lecture series event!!!

3/9/2009: Today we heard Dr Lancaster Lecture about the holistic philosophy of Osteopathic medicine. He discussed the idea of tensegrity and how it applies not only to the physical connection of the body but how this idea can be applied to the connectedness of all the organ systems. The turnout was great! We had several physicians, acupuncturist and oriental medical doctor, pharmacists, massage therapist, and a colonics practitioner present. Great ideas were exchanges about integrative and holistic medicine during the open discussion and networks were created. A true success!! Check back soon for the next meeting announcement.
